“Revelation Knowledge"...the Language God Speaks
“Knowledge” (intellectual) makes a man “unfit” for a slave! ~ Frederick Douglas
This is a core message, from Frederick Douglas, an American social reformer, abolitionist, orator, writer, and statesman. He was the most important leader of the movement for African-American civil rights in the 19th century; highlighting how literacy and understanding, empowers individuals, making “forced servitude” intolerable for an educated mind!
The quote argues that an enlightened mind recognizes its inherent right to freedom, making it impossible to accept chains of any kind.
Douglas's own experience proved this, as learning to read, transformed him from a property to a person, and enabled his escape and activism.
In the scriptures, Hosea(4-6), issues a message from God:
"My people are destroyed (annihilated, spiritually destruction, ruined, and rendered powerless or ineffective), for “lack of Knowledge.”
Spiritual ruin comes from rejecting or ignoring God's divine wisdom, revelation knowledge, and true understanding, leading to spiritual disobedience, poor choices, and separation from Him, not just a lack of general intelligence.
The "knowledge" is about a deep, covenant relationship with God, and ignoring it results in spiritual consequences like being rejected as priests or forgotten by God, causing national downfall.
These chapters detail God's indictment against Israel, Judah, its leaders and people, for deep spiritual corruption, emphasizing their rejection of His knowledge, which lead to idolatry, sexual immorality, broken families, and false worship! God then promised severe judgment, even as He holds out a faint hope for repentance.
THAT KNOWLEDGE—HIS “REVELATION KNOWLEDGE!”
Because you have “rejected Knowledge,” I also will reject you from being priest for me; because you have forgotten the laws of your God, I also will forget your children."
Revelation Knowledge, means receiving divine insight that comes directly from God to an individual's spirit,
“Divine” Revelation Knowledge means receiving divine insight that comes directly from God to an individual's spirit. It goes beyond natural reason or senses, often through inner feelings, visions, scriptures, or spiritual experiences, enabling a deeper connection and purpose.
It's a God-given insight, not just learned facts, that transforms belief into lived experience and victory.
In essence, revelation knowledge, is more about seeing oneself, and the world in a new light, than about having knowledge “of” God.
If one is exposed to God’s knowledge, and receives divine revelation of that knowledge; it will forever “unfit him,” to perish; be annihilated, have spiritual destruction, ruin, and being rendered powerless or rendered completely useless, or ineffective; in any way.
