Destination is not your only Life Goal!
Whether in life, business or ministry; the journey is—growth, self-discovery, and a deeper connection with God. The journey involves exploring your inner self, reassessing life's meaning, and striving for greater peace, fulfillment, and enlightenment.
The journey itself holds significant value and offers countless, meaningful opportunities for continuous growth, learning, and reliance on God throughout life's various experiences, rather than solely focusing on a final outcome or achievement. Like any journey, there are times when the roads are straight and times when they are winding.
This perspective encourages believers to embrace the process of learning from challenges, and finding meaning in the present moment, while recognizing that their ultimate destination is with God.
While there may be similarities in our journeys, each person's journey is unique, shaped by their specific circumstances, experiences, and relationship with God.
In Praise and celebration of Wisdom’s Insights, Principles and Resources
In 2 Kings 17:15, God’s people, rejected God's statutes and covenant. Instead of worshipping the one true God, they pursued worthless idols, and became like the nations around them, despite God's commands not to imitate them; ultimately becoming "vain" and worthless themselves.
They despised and rejected His statutes and His “covenant,” that He made with their fathers and the warnings that He gave them. They went after false idols and became “false.” This “corrupted” them and separated them from their God. This highlights their disobedience and descent into idolatry, leading to their eventual exile from the promised land. They also ignored the warnings and messages God sent through His prophets.
Despite God's explicit instructions for them to not adopt the customs of the nations around them, the Israelites did so, further demonstrating their rebellion. They grew worse and worse; from a partial disobedience to some of God’s laws, to a “total, complete and public abandonment, of their faith.
They began worshipping the sun, moon, and stars, against which Moses had particularly cautioned them, and used divination and enchantments — which were the abominable sins of the heathen. and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord — wholly addicted themselves to sin, so hardening their own hearts, that at length it was become morally impossible for them to recover themselves.
The principles in the word of God are not a list of laws we are chained to, but blessings on those who are drawn to it as a magnet.
“Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.” Those whose life is “aligned” with it; walking in integrity and obedience to its statues; as a path to happiness and personal fulfillment. I will not forget thy word…Ps. 119:1-16
You become like what you worship. If you worship lifeless idols, you become spiritually lifeless and become like them, as do all who trust in them. (Psalms 115:8)
In contrast, Celebrate the living God
I have a deep respect, commitment and reliance on—God's statutes. They have been a source of comfort and joy to me throughout my own’s life's journey. I have embraced God's laws as the foundation of my life, allowing His Word to influence my decisions, priorities, and entire way of living; I seek to live a life that reflects His “integrity.”
His statutes—laws, decrees, and specific instructions—have become deeply ingrained in my inner convictions, profoundly shaping not only the course of my life but also guiding every aspect of my decisions and moral reasoning.
While on my life journey with God, I find comfort and joy in God's statutes. I have encountered numerous challenges, hardships, and trials throughout my life's journey, and despite these obstacles, I continue to find deep solace and strength in adhering to God's commandments.
Remember, Your Destination is not your only goal in life! The journey is…
“If you live a life in diligent observance of His principles, and decrees, and keep (do them), then I will give you rain in due season, and your land shall surely yield her abundant increase; providing a bountiful harvest and fruitful blessings.. (ensures a prosperity that comes from obedience, as your land produces abundant resources.” (Lev. 26: 3–27:34)
