See You Tomorrow!

The quote “Tomorrow is promised to no one” is attributed to both Walter Payton and Clint Eastwood, to motivate sports fans. NOT SCRIPTURAL!

Proverbs 27:1 tells us, “Do not boast about tomorrow, for we do not have any guarantees of what a day may bring.

From this bible passage, many have attributed the interpretation of it to mean that our tomorrow is not promised?? Erroneous theology will not get you, your desired significant results of a blessed, and productive life! Many self-proclaimed believers have not progressed beyond their ancestors, in lifting their life—even though they were the workers that made everybody else wealthy!

Nowhere in the scriptures is a declaration “FOR THE BELIEVER, that we are not promised a tomorrow!”

The scriptures has declared—“ I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, plans to “give” you a Hope and aFUTURE!!”

“Future means…TomorrowS!!!”

Why are believers continuing to quote this worldly quote, as if it is a truth? It is a meaningless, cultural expression.

Anything that goes contrary to the word of God cannot bring “life!” So don’t expect to inherit the promises of God; let alone “THE BLESSING, if you continue to accept this as a true biblical expression! No lie is of the truth; and truth is what defines your “freedom!” We have to align our lives up with only the life, found in the truth of the word!

What the scriptures does say is this: Matthew 6:34

"Therefore do not WORRY about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have its own issues.”

Key word…WORRY! Each day indeed does have its own troubles, but what He didn’t say, is that there isn’t a promise in place for our “tomorrows". This verse encourages people to focus on the present and not WORRY about the future, knowing that God will take care of things

James 4:14

Says that we do not know what will happen on tomorrow, but God does, and He reveals it to His servants the ordained & chosen Prophet(ess)! Besides, what is our life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes.

Proverbs 27:1
Whether we know what tomorrow will bring, or what things will happen, or whether something might prevent us from our intended journey to tomorrow; the thought here is that nobody can secure a future, without the living God, in whom we live, move, and have our being in; and who is the only one by whose providence all life and events are governed and directed.

The worldly confession that tomorrow is Not Promised is therefore :

Contradictory—and is a phrase that is often repeated and expresses a “strong belief.”

Not biblical! — so stop quoting it as truth! You are speaking that over your own life!

We are to stop changing scripture and quoting cultural, phrases that are believed to have some special spiritual significance.

Psalm 90:12 says,

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

This does not mean that a countdown of your life begins, when you reach a particular age!! That’s a cultural religious mantra!

You going to have to make a choice, to either wholeheartedly believe the Word, and follow its dictates; or continue to believe these cultural fallacies, masquerading as biblical truth!!

You cannot live both!!

Proverbs 90:12, is the scripture, often quoted and interpreted as meaning, “Tomorrow is not promised, however, in the scriptural context, it has this meaning; we must continually believe and meditate on God’s word, live wisely and live as His uncompromising, committed people. We must continue to live sensibly, with purpose, one day at a time, while seeking His divine wisdom for the best way to live throughout each day.

Here are some ways to put this verse into action:

  • Ask God to help you schedule your time more wisely and efficiently

  • Rethink how you spend your time, and then adjust it to reflect God's priorities

  • Realize that the choices we make during our brief stay on earth have eternal consequences

  • We need wisdom to prepare for our next…

LETS GET IT RIGHT and receive ALL of “The Blessings,” promised to those who put their trust in God!

Remember, one’s enthusiasm for God, is made useless by vain attempts of walking in other people’s carnal interpretations, of the truth; and not according to scriptures, by living according to meaningless cultural expressions, instead of by faith, in God’s Truth!
